March 18, 2024
Roane State’s 2024 Annual Student Art Exhibition will be held April 15-25, 2024, at the main campus in the Powers|Brown Art Gallery (O’Brien 225). An artists’ reception and award ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 25, at 12:30pm ET.
This annual juried event is open to all Roane State student artists and is a valuable opportunity for students to hone their skills and gain critical exhibition experience.
Any enrolled student may submit up to 10 works free of charge. Works must have been created between May 2023 to present. Entries must be submitted by March 25 at Noon ET. Student participants will be notified of acceptance by April 1.
The art show entry form is available for download. Entries may be submitted via artshowsubmissions@risesh01.net.
Please note that incomplete submissions will not be considered. A complete entry consists of images (appropriately named) and the entry form. Please consider how work is documented and presented as no images will be edited before submitting them to the juror.
By submitting artworks, students agree to all gallery guidelines. Entries that do not follow the prospectus guidelines may be disqualified.
On Monday, April 8, included artists must deliver and help install their work in the art gallery on Roane County Campus. Please be prepared to stay and help with posters and programs unless prior arrangements have been made. For more information or arrangements, contact Professor Bryan Wilkerson at wilkersonbs@risesh01.net.
Artwork must be removed immediately following the reception on April 25. Students should make arrangements for someone to pick up their work if they are unable to attend.
For more information, contact Professor Stacy Jacobs at jacobssl@roaenstate.edu or Professor Wilkerson at wilkersonbs@risesh01.net.
